When you stay at Escalante, Utah’s Slot Canyons Inn, you have many scenic options to explore nearby, including Escalante State Park, Calf Creek Recreation Area and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Two spectacular scenic attractions that are only an hour away are Bryce Canyon National Park and Capitol Reef National Park. These two parks offer breathtaking landscapes that contain colorful rock pinnacles, spires, and arches that are worth the longer drive. If you do not want to go far to view scenery while staying with us, you can stay on our 160-acre property to view a two-tiered waterfall, a private canyon, Indian ruins and petroglyphs.
Other petroglyphs and ancient Indian artifacts are on display at nearby Escalante State Park. One of the most popular activities in Escalante State Park is meandering through colorful petrified wood specimens and dinosaur fossils on the park’s two nature trails. The park also boasts Wide Hollow Reservoir and ideal place to boat, swim, or try your luck at landing rainbow trout.
After a day exploring Escalante State Park or one of the area’s other scenic attractions, you will enjoy returning to your home away from home at Slot Canyons Inn, where each room is equipped with a TV and DVD player so you can relax while watching a favorite movie.
